Several roads in Sioux Falls will be closed due to construction starting Monday, August 14.
Cleveland Avenue will be closed between 10th Street and 11th Street. Construction crews will be repairing storm draining infrastructure. Motorists are advised to use Bahnson Avenue or Lowell Avenue as an alternate route.
South Avalon at 69th Street will also be closed due to underground utility work. Avalon Avenue is expected to re-open to traffic within a week. This work is part of the ongoing 69th Street and Western Avenue reconstruction project. Final completion on this project is slated for the spring of 2018.
Construction crews will be working on Pinehurst Court east of Pinehurst Drive. Crews will be extending an existing water main. Through traffic on Pinehurst Court will not be allowed during work hours. However, local residents will have access to their driveway at all times during the construction. Crews anticipate being done with the project within five working days.
Crews will be working in the cul-de-sacs of Ironwood Circle and Cortland Avenue. Crews will repair two water mains. Local traffic will be maintained around the work area during construction for driveway access. Crews expect to be done within five working days.
North Maple Lane will be closed for approximately 200 feet between West Maple Street and West Innovation Street for utility work. Construction is anticipated to be complete by the end of the day on August 18.
