SDSU Finds Out Tournament Seeding Today

March Madness will be here soon: All 68 teams will find out where they rank on Selection Sunday.

South Dakota State joins the NCAA men's basketball tournament for the third straight year as Summit League champions. At 5 p.m. CT Sunday, the Jackrabbits will receive their tournament seeding as well as the location of their first game.

First-round games are scheduled for March 15 at one of eight host cities. Pittsburgh, Wichita, Dallas, Boise, Charlotte, Detroit, Nashville and San Diego are all possible spots for the Jackrabbits' first-round (and possibly second-round) game.

Omaha marks the closest from Brookings that SDSU could play during the tournament, but reaching it requires plenty of luck and a journey into uncharted territory. The city's CenturyLink Center is one of four regional host sites for Sweet 16 teams, but the Jackrabbits have not made it out of the first round in four tournament appearances since 2012.

Selection Sunday will be televised on TBS starting at 5 p.m. CT Sunday, as well as on the NCAA website.
