The Sioux Falls Skyforce (13-14) earned a 108-105 overtime victory over the Raptors 905 (15-11) to tip off the fourth and final day of NBA G League Showcase 2018.
Derrick Jones Jr. finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while Derrick Walton Jr. had 25 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds as the Skyforce snapped Raptors 905’s 10-game winning streak. Alonzo Gee recorded 16 points and eight rebounds for Sioux Falls, which finished Showcase 1-1.
Trailing 98-89 with 3:41 left in regulation, the Skyforce went on a 14-5 run capped off by Gee’s driving game-tying layup with 30.6 seconds remaining. Ike Nwamu hit a three-pointer in the first possession of the extra period and Walton Jr. sealed the win with a layup to put the Skyforce up by three with 20.4 seconds left.
Kennedy Meeks netted 18 points and collected nine rebounds and Bruno Caboclo tallied 18 points in the loss.
Sioux Falls hosts the Salt Lake City Stars on Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET for its next game and Raptors 905, which went 1-1 during Showcase, visits the Canton Charge on Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. ET on Twitch.
