The highest rain totals so far this month come in from southeast KELOLAND with amounts close to two inches and more being common in Sioux Falls, Spencer, Yankton, and Worthington. The amounts taper off the farther north you go. But there are areas in between the reporting stations that received more, such as the storms that produced over an inch or two of rain from Tuesday north and west of Watertown.
More rain is on the way for KELOLAND next week. Unfortunately, it will be in the same areas that have been getting the rain for the first week and a half of the month.
So while planting has been a slow go in southeast KELOLAND due to the wet ground, they're looking for rain for much of northern and western South Dakota.

We had another night with rain in southeast KELOLAND. The amounts in and around Sioux Falls averaged an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half, but the farther north you go, the less amount of rain fell.
