Record Setting Rain Amount In Southeast KELOLAND

Sunshine and stronger winds continue to help dry things out in southeast KELOLAND. It's a good thing considering the record setting rains that have fallen in southeast KELOLAND.

First, I do want to mention that eastern and northeast South Dakota has been drier, which has allowed for better harvesting conditions.

Southeast KELOLAND is where we've had the rain. Some areas are easily in their top ten for wettest Octobers.

Those areas include Worthington, which is at their wettest October. Tyndall is at their fourth wettest with over 4.5 inches, Yankton's 5 inches is their fifth wettest, Sheldon is at their seventh wettest and Sioux Falls is already the eighth wettest on record with a little over 5 inches.

Good news is we've cut back on the amounts of rain for this weekend as many locations can now expect amounts less than a tenth of an inch.
