Warmer weather is just around the corner! First, we'll watch the cloud cover thinning today, but remaining around longer in the Sioux Falls area. No snow is in the forecast the next 36 hours.
Highs today will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s in many areas. That's actually closer to normal for this time of year.
Tonight will not be as cold with lows in the mid to upper teens.
Take a look at Valentine's Day. Highs will be back in the 40s in many areas!
Thursday's forecast will all depend on the timing of our next cold front. We've notice some trends that are slowing this front down. If that happens, you can expect milder weather that currently forecast. Right now, we have 34 in Sioux Falls and 26 at Rapid City. Some light snow may accompany the front.
Friday will be colder, only 21 in Sioux Falls.
However, the weekend is looking better with moderating temperatures into the 30s. We'll watch Monday for the next weather system that could produce snow along with colder weather.
