Heavy rain fell last night north of Sioux Falls. VIPIR indicates over 2" north of Flandreau up toward Lake Benton.
The other numbers vary in the 24 hour rainfall totals. The heaviest totals have been in the west. This is the area under a flash flood watch the next 24 to 36 hours.
FutureScan shows the next round of rain moving across KELOLAND late tonight and tomorrow. Notice most of it stays in the southern half of the region.
Locally heavy rain is quite possible. Over 2" could easily fall through Friday AM in the heaviest rain bands.
Highs today will be in the lower to middle 70s.
Lows tonight will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s with the rain chances.
The rain will keep temperatures cooler in southern KELOLAND once again, with some areas staying in the 60s.
Drier weather returns on Friday into the weekend. We could be looking at another surge of thunderstorm activity by Monday of next week.
