We have a great forecast for Valentines Day here in KELOLAND. There are few areas of patchy fog to start the day, but the afternoon looks mostly sunny. Look at all the 40s for highs!
Tonight will be mild compared to what is coming, mainly in the upper teens to lower 20s.
Tomorrow will bring a cold front to KELOLAND. The northern areas will be much colder, but Sioux Falls will still warm into the 30s ahead of the front during the late morning. Watch for areas of snow behind the cold front, especially in western SD.
Here's a look at that snow on FutureScan. Amounts may approach an inch West River, but lighter amounts are forecast to the east.
Friday will be colder, with 20s in Sioux Falls.
However, Saturday should be warmer. We are thinking Sioux Falls may linger the warmer weather into early Sunday, but a strong cold front will be moving into the plains late Sunday into Monday.
Be watching for snow chances on Monday along with sharply colder weather.
Highs in the single digits and teens are expected by Monday and Tuesday. Accumulating snow is possible, but we'll have to wait for the details.
